Fugro-UDI is the largest integrated supplier of survey, geoscience, metocean and specialist support services in the world. It operates its own DGPS satellite positioning services providing precision coverage over most of the world's surface. In addition, it provides structural instrumentation, monitoring and inspection services, and operates life data management systems. Fugro-UDI also has an extensive track record in the management of marine projects, including MSV operations and remote subsea intervention with its fleet of ROVs. The company's services are critical throughout the life of a field, from exploration and appraisal through to abandonment. Fugro-UDI have eight work-class ROVs and one observation-class ROV. Its utilisation is high this year after a slow start, and next year is expected to be very busy with all ROVs fully committed. ![]() The Northern Prince was continuously employed in 1999 in pipelay and general construction support work with Coflexip Stena Offshore. Since March 1999, the Skandi Installer has been busy in the North Sea with a wide range of clients including Alcatel Kabel Norge, DSND Subsea, Unocal Netherlands, Halliburton Subsea and Marathon Oil UK. Additional vessels have also been chartered to cover extra work commitments including Northern Horizon, Highland Fortress, Geobay and Mansall 18. ![]() The newbuild vessel will be a market leader in the provision of integrated Fugro-UDI survey, geophysical, geotechnical and construction support services from a single spread. It will be fully equipped to service the emerging deepwater markets worldwide.
